Preharvest Foliar Applications of Citric Acid, Gibberellic Acid and Humic Acid Improve Growth and Fruit Quality of ‘Le Conte’ Pear (Pyrus communis L.)

A two-year (2020-21) study was conducted to investigate the possibility of relying ten-years old pear trees grown on sandy loam soil irrigated by drip citric acid (CA), gibberellic (GA3) and humic (HA). The CA applied at concentrations 500, 1000 1500 ppm, GA3 50, 100 150 ppm HA 3, 4 5%, whereas water spray used as control. results our proved that CA, improved shoot length, thickness, leaf area chlorophyll compared with Moreover, they also positively increased fruit set percentage final yield ‘Le Conte’ pear. weight, size firmness were under influence aforementioned treatments. soluble solids, total sugars, nitrogen, phosphorus potassium enhanced Additionally, spraying well as, 5 4% superior treatments showed most significant impact plant growth, yield, quality mineral content This provides a basis for future elucidation HA-, GA3- CA-modulated molecular mechanisms in pear, which can make contribution scientific community.
